18th August 2011Progress at the Thornhill Hinkler Parade Development.
The Bad NewsThe Thornhill Collection Point is still squatting in one of the interview rooms at the Local Housing Office in Tatwin Crescent. We are there because our previous venue was knocked down for the redevelopment. The Natterbox is planning to re-open next April and so we still have a long wait. Several people are not happy with the present location of the Collection Point and want to know what you think. The members living on the Thornhill Estate will receive a letter asking for people’s thoughts and ideas about the collection Point Location and also the opening day and times. Part of the new development is now open. There is a new co-op shop on Hinkler Parade that finally opened today. This shop includes a Post Office. There has not been a post office on Thornhill Estate for several months and so we are all very pleased.
Solent at The FestivalWe will be at the re-scheduled Thornhill Festival on Saturday 3rd September on Hinkler Green. We will be in our green gazebo so come and see us there if you have any questions.
